The Fight for Justice was founded to create awareness and inspire others to develop the courage to take action when an injustice has occurred. Torina Collis was terminated as a Senior Personal Banker at Bank of America on February 25, 2005 after defending customers who were cheated by the bank. Since then, she has been determined to seek Justice. Torina filed for protection under the Sarbanes-Oxley whistle blowing statue. Bank of America was interested in a settlement but Torina wanted her day in court and would not settle. Torina's reputation, integrity and justice are more important than any amount of money. She believes that citizens should fight for their rights and not be intimidated or bullied. Almost a month before the long awaited trial, after 2 attorneys had withdrawn from her case, the court terminated her attorney. Torina was left alone to represent herself against at a four day trial against one of the largest banks in the world, all without a college education. At trial she was able to get shocking evidence on the record and expose the wrong doing and obstruction of justice. Bank of America and their lawfirm quickly turned to the Court to seek an enforcement of an unsigned settlement agreement. Torina has fought that fraudulent alleged settlement agreement all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Torina took the evidence from trial and filed a new lawsuit for conspiracy against Bank of America, their law firm, the individual attorney, and three key employees involved in Torina's termination in December 2010. The case was dismissed and the judge warned Torina that her time for fighting was over and to leave the bank alone. After exhausting her appeals in the State Court, Torina filed a Writ of Certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court on December 18, 2014. The Court denied her petition April 27, 2015.
